These certificates are to be used for promotional purposes.  They were never designed for "on demand" personal or group travel.   They are designed to be given away as a promotional trip.  Most people will understand that they are getting a trip that otherwise would have cost much more than the cost of the voucher and be willing to go whenever they can.  If you get a certificate that gives you 2 roundtrip airline tickets and 5 days at a nice resort in Cancun or Puerto Vallarta, and your only cost is taxes of about $150 per person, you should be pleased to go whenever there are rooms available.  Because these trips are practically free, you have to be flexible on your travel dates.  You must realize that you are getting a great vacation and not having to go to a regular travel agency and pay the thousands of dollars for the same vacation.  But most people will appreciate the value of the certificate and be willing to take their trip when it is available.  Please understand how our industry works.  We are filling excess or unused inventory allotted to our company.

Despite the previous paragraph, as long as you follow the terms and conditions and time requirements of the vacations, you should not experience any problems with scheduling a trip.

Condo and 8 Day Resort - These packages are based on space available or our allotments.  We work thru several different brokers nationwide that have lists of properties that they do the booking for.  We don’t know at any one time which exact property will have extra rooms 3 to 6 months from now.  That’s why the certificates have time frames on them.  Let’s take the condo for a week as an example.  These are unused condos for the most part that people let us fill.  We do have some hotel type resorts too.  Now let’s say you want to go to Myrtle Beach.  We have at least 15 properties in that area that we use.  We won’t know which ones are going to be empty until about 60 days out and that is when our agents actually fill them.  So it’s impossible to tell you exactly which property you will be staying in until the agents make the assignment.  The one thing we will guarantee is that it will be a quality property and a 3 star or above triple AAA rating. 

3 Day Hotel Stay – We have a lot more flexibility with these certificates on dates of availability.  Our agency actually has a private contract with Choice hotels.

Exceptions - Please keep in mind that there are some common sense rules pertaining to when you can use the certificates.  You shouldn’t expect to travel for free on Thanksgiving, Christmas, spring break or other heavy travel dates such as major holidays.  Also, keep in mind that certain places have a peak season so travel to those locations will probably involve a surcharge during those times.  Going to Daytona during race week or New Orleans during Mardi Gras week would not be a good idea either.  These are just common sense rules to keep in mind.  We’re not saying we can’t fulfill those requests.  Just that there will be an added charge if there are any vacancies and you choose to go during the holidays and peak seasons.
